One hour concert followed by three-course dinner. Doors open at 6:00, concert starts at 6:30pm. 

Although Beethoven would never go back to writing string trios after his early Op. 9, published in 1798 and to which the big C minor trio part of this concert’s programme belongs,  these works were of fundamental importance in establishing him as a noteworthy composer in Vienna and in developing his contrapuntal skills. The trio formed by violinist Francesca Dego, violist Milena Simović and Laura van deer Heijden also gives the UK premiere of Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s string trio.
