Milena Simović and Jung Eun Séverine Kim both enjoy illustrious international careers. Their recital opens with the amiable sonata written by violist Paul Hindemith. Movements from the Romeo and Juliet suites have become popular in viola recitals, while the Brahms clarinet sonata fits the viola like a glove. To close, York Bowen’s Op 54 Phantasy, written for viola and piano.
